Delivery

All our jewelry are carefully packaged in a luxury jewelry box or bag in which your jewelry can be stored. The jewelry is carefully packed for shipping so that your order arrives in good, undamaged condition. The
jewelry boxes with contents are sent in a protective box, which fits a standard letterbox. For earrings, 1 of the 2 earrings will be packed in a sealed
bag. If the seal is torn or if the bag has been opened, the right to
return logically is no longer there.

The packages are shipped FREE within the Netherlands via letterbox post with track and trace.
For Belgium: if the order value is above €99, transport is also free, otherwise €4.95
For customers with a shipping address abroad within the EU, the packages will be sent via letterbox package with track and trace (€9,-), incl. insurance. And is the
Order value for these countries (so except for the Netherlands and Belgium) higher than €150, shipping is also free.
However, if you return the item, you will of course be charged for these shipping costs if your order value falls below €99. That's fair.
If you have provided an incorrect address, you are entirely responsible for giving the wrong address.

When placing the order it is possible to specify a delivery address which differs from the billing address.

Returns

A happy customer is our goal! That's why we want you to be 100% satisfied with your
purchase.
If this is not the case, you have the right to return it up to 14 days after you received your order, unless these are sale items or gift packages.
For earrings, 1 of the 2 earrings will be packed in a sealed bag. If the seal of this bag is torn or opened, the right of return logically is gone.
Sale items and gift wrapping may, as indicated during the payment procedure, not be returned.

There is no exchange process. You can of course order new ones yourself in our shop after returning the non-sale items.

The conditions for returns are as follows:

When opening/breaking the seal, any right of return will be gone. The returned product must be unused and unworn. This means that there are no stains on the earrings and no perfume or smoke smell around the product. Items that are damaged by wearing or trying on cannot be returned.

The returned product must be carefully packed. So pack the product in the original jewelry packaging (except the original shipping box) and in a sturdy packaging and sufficiently stamped. The return costs are for your own account.

Order value higher than €150, shipping is free.
However, if you return the item, you will of course be charged for these shipping costs if your order value falls below €99. That's fair.

Sale Collection and gift packaging are excluded. Items from the Sale and gift packaging may not be exchanged or returned.

We will transfer the money to the bank account with which you paid originally.

Product information

With Swarovski crystals, unless otherwise stated. The Swarovski™ brand is synonymous to quality and luxury in the fashion world. Swarovski™ crystals are beautiful, durable and irreplaceable, they sparkle beautifully in the light with every movement. Jewelry with these crystals with a variety of colors and shapes are one of the most beautiful forms of jewelry. We work with this a lot as we are a originally certified Swarovski ingredient business partner.

In addition, we also work a lot with pearls: both freshwater pearls and Swarovski pearls. The first come from nature and have the charm that each pearl is unique. This is not the case with Swarovski pearls, but these are perfect and identical.

Le Rêve Amsterdam works with natural stones (sometimes gemstones), unless stated otherwise.

The gemstones are usually dyed to make the color a bit brighter. Because they are natural products, they all look slightly different. But Le Rêve always tries to match the stones as well as possible. In addition to gemstones and (non-precious) natural stones, Quartz is also used. Quartz is made in colors that resemble or are the same as the colors of real gemstones, with the difference that they are grown instead of coming from nature. In order to ensure that the Quartz approaches the real gemstone as closely as possible, a lot of attention is paid to the process. They are very difficult to distinguish from the real thing. Quartz stones are also never 100% identical, Swarovski crystals and pearls on the other hand are. and that's why we work the most with Swarovski crystals and pearls, as we are a originally certified Swarovski ingredient business partner.

Each product page describes the materials of which the relevant piece of jewelry is made. For more information about these materials, we list below which materials we use. Nowadays, we mostly work with gold-plated materials, where an extra protective layer is applied to the gold so that you can enjoy the golden color for as long as possible.

Sterling silver (925) The precious metal silver in its purest form (also called fine silver) is not usable for jewelry. Because pure silver is very soft. That is why other metals are added to the pure silver.

Sterling silver is an alloy and consists of at least 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. The addition of another metal is therefore only to improve the quality of this and does not in any way detract from the quality: it is necessary to give the soft silver strength and durability in order to be able to work it and make jewelry from it, among other things.

The Sterling Silver standard requires that the alloy Sterling silver 925 has a silver content of 92.5% pure silver. Often you will find a '925' mark on Sterling silver jewelry, jewelry parts, tableware, silver or other valuables
engraved. Of course, Sterling silver is nickel-free

Vermeil and gold-plating

Just like silver, pure gold (24kt) is too soft for making jewelry. That is why jewelry is made of alloys, i.e. gold is mixed with other materials such as silver, copper or zinc. Because we think it is important that the gold layer stays on for as long as possible, we work with sustainable quality, either vermeil or gold-plated on brass.

To be called vermeil the base must consist of pure sterling silver,
hence 'gold on silver'. Only old and silver may be used and no other metal. The gold layer must consist of at least 10 carat gold or higher. Most of the time I work with 24 carat gold layers.

The gold layer wears off the silver sooner or later. But by taking good care of vermeil or gold-plating (see maintenance advice), you can enjoy it for as long as possible.
Vermeil is not the same as gold plated: gold plated means that one or more gold layers have been applied to a nickel-free metal.
The advantage of this is that it cannot oxidize, so no black deposits can form.

Yes! All materials are of course 100% nickel-free.

Maintenance advice

In addition to our maintenance advice for specific materials, we have a number of general tips here:

  • Do not wear jewellery while showering, swimming or in the sauna. And do not leave it in the bathroom or in a damp room, because condensation can cause discolouration in the long term.
  • Make-up, hairspray and perfume contain substances that can damage jewelry and even stain it.
Therefore, only put in your earrings when you have finished showering and/or putting on make-up.
  • Sleep without ear jewelry. This can already damage them considerably
  • Do not wear jewelry during strenuous work. The beauty of most ear jewelry is not resistant to perspiration and you can also damage or lose your ear jewelry.
  • Store your jewelry separately from each other so that the harder gemstones cannot damage the metals (silver and gold on silver) and the soft gemstones. And preferably in a grip bag and in a dark cupboard. This way no light and air can get to it and less oxidation occurs.
  • Do not expose the earrings to the sun or too much daylight for too long (in any case, store them when you are not wearing them). Gemstones in particular can discolour as a result.

Not all gemstones thrive in water. This is especially true for soft gemstones such as Opal, Amber, Coral, Peridot, Turquoise, Malachite and Lapis Lazuli. In that case, it is best to remove dust and dirt from the gemstones with a damp cloth. This also applies to Swarovski crystals.

It is best to simply rub pearls with a dry, soft cloth and wear them often; the natural oil on your skin will make them shine even more beautifully!

Sterling silver can oxidize (black deposits), simply due to the outside air and the acidity (PH value) of your skin.
This is a natural process that you can remedy by lightly polishing the silver with a silver cloth.

Be careful with silver polish; it easily gets into corners and curves, which is difficult to remove. Do not put the silver cloth in the washingmachine; the blacker it will
becomes, the better he does his job.

You can also clean silver or gold on silver with a jewelry cleaner, available from a jeweler/goldsmith. Or you can have the jewelry polished at a
jeweler/goldsmith. However, discoloration and oxidation cannot be completely prevented

Although gold gets dirty less quickly than silver, gold can also start to look less beautiful over time. Do not use a silver cloth here, because you can polish off the gold layer.

If there is some tarnish or dust or other dirt in the jewelry, clean it with a regular sunglasses cloth or with a damp cloth in lukewarm soapy water with a little (!) dishwashing liquid. You can also use a soft toothbrush, but don't brush too hard, because you can polish off the gold layer with it! Then dry them with a soft cloth (NOT a silver cloth!).

How long the gold layer stays on the base metals also depends on the acidity of the skin. Everbody has a different skin type, so it differs at each person if the gold wears off fast or slower.
